JL’s RISE: Mentoring program is thoughtfully designed to meet and embrace firm associates at each career stage. As mentees, you have access to great mentorship at your fingertips, regardless of where you are located geographically or when you joined the firm. Experience curated learning activities and special events aligned to meet your needs as junior or more advanced associates. Participating mentors have an opportunity to guide and inspire the next generation of lawyers. All will find enriching experiences that these important and valuable relationships will enable.
JL’s RISE: Mentoring program (Recruit, Integrate, Succeed, Excel) provides tailored mentoring to help associates at different career stages strive for excellence.
RISE: Recruit is designed for summer clerks to learn from JL attorneys in leadership positions about their paths to success and why they chose labor and employment law. Summer clerks in RISE: Recruit will automatically be enrolled upon arrival by their local office
Mentoring Champion for the duration of their summer term.
RISE: Integrate is designed for both entry-level and lateral associates to ensure all associates new to JL connect with another attorney within their local office for help with onboarding, integration,
identifying learning and engagement opportunities, and transferring institutional knowledge.
RISE: Succeed is designed for junior to mid-level associate career development. Associates in RISE: Succeed will be matched with JL attorney mentors committed to mutual learning, building relationships, and developing the legal and professional skills needed for career success.
RISE: Excel is designed to help JL’s senior associates and Of Counsel navigate the path toward becoming an Income Principal or explore other career path options. RISE: Excel offers advanced training opportunities for developing the specific skills needed to achieve client management and business development goals.
Enrollment for RISE: Succeed and RISE: Excel is voluntary and runs from March-March.
